The Audio Girl Africa Creative Accelerator is a 1-month program designed to identify, support and fund the next generation of Africa’s promising female creatives. Participants at the program get to walk away with mentorship, internship, N2million worth of sponsorship and funding grants from Audio Girl Africa.
This year, the program is done in Partnership with FemmeAfrica, and is open to female creatives based anywhere in Africa.

Who is eligible to apply?
Based in Africa (Nigeria, Kenya, SouthAfrica, Ghana) Must be female with interest in audio and media technology. Age 13-25 Must be a prospective to early budder (0 - less than 2 years in practice)
Can I apply as a man?
The program is targeted towards female creatives but you can participate in the online trainings as a male creative.
How do I know that my application has been received?
You would receive an email notification confirming or rejecting your application a week before the program.
If I have interest in two creative options available can I apply with both?
We only allow one application per person, so please submit for your strongest interest.
Do I have to be a member of the Audio Girl community to apply?
Yes. You can easily be a part of the Audio Girl community by joining here.
Can I submit my application in another language?
At this time we are only able to accept applications in English.
What do I need for my application?
Complete the online form Submit a short essay about why you should be selected for the program.
How do I submit the online form?
Go to the AudioMogul Hub website to submit your application, but you must first set up your Audio Mogul profile. Find the how-to guide for doing so here.
What do I do if the application system is not working?
Please refresh the page or try a new browser. If this does not work, send a message to AudioMogulHub on Twitter or Instagram to request for help. It is advisable to apply at least a week before the deadline, so that you do not have to deal with latency or technical issues.
When will applicants find out if they’ve been selected as participants?
Participants will be notified of their status by July 15th, 2019.
How are the participants/accelerants selected?
Our review committee will be evaluating applications against several factors: Proof of Interest; Clear vision, what the candidate is hoping to do with the knowledge acquired. Well-defined project; Pathway to creating something concrete based on what has been learnt Candidates should be able to collaborate in teams and also carry out individual projects
When and where will the residencies be?
This is mostly a virtual accelerator so most of the trainings will be conducted online. Training schedules and details of any physical meetings will be sent to you if you are accepted into the program.
Am I allowed to miss parts of the training?
No, the trainings are mandatory for every participants in the program.
What prizes are to be won?
Career funding worth N2million to top 5 accelerants. Home Recording Gadgets and giveaways. Mentorship, paid internships and job opportunities.
In addition to the chance to win prizes, what are the other benefits of being accepted into the Creative Accelerator?
Acceptance into the Audio Girl Creative Accelerator will provide you with access to support from Audio Girl Africa. This support includes: Media promotions – local and international media who are looking to interview female creatives. You’ll always be put forward first. Promotion through Audio Girl Africa's online community. Access to Audio Girl Africa's network of supporters, influencers and advisors.
